Don't Fear Dino's!

Nelson was chasing Emma through the house "roaring" at her. As she ran screaming Nelson said, "Emma don't be afraid. God is with you!"

As I stood there smiling he leaned in close and softly told her "he leads you to green pastures"

Just a reminder that God is leading you. No matter what seems to be chasing after you don't be afraid, and when you want to hide - He is with you!

Butterfly

It's 7 am. We are heading to South Carolina. We stopped to buy breakfast at the Columbia bakery.

Looking out the window Nelson proclaims, "mommy I'm watching a butterfly". Excited and looking everywhere I said, "Where!" He responded, "If you wait patiently you will see it." Smiling I waited and them again asked where he saw it at and he replied, "if you're quite it will come. "

God, butterflies are gorgeous. l but being with you is all the more beautiful. As a butterfly flutters by there is a splash of joy! In your presence there is fullness of joy!

If I will just wait patiently in your presence there is no telling what I might see.

If I can just sit quietly you will come, you will be near whispering sweet truths in my ear!

Since we were traveling today we stopped in Jacksonville and ate Mediterranean food! Tonight we had dinner with Papaw at Panera - you had a nice sugar cookie with m&ms on top!

Spring Pictures 2013

This spring has been fun! We have played at the beach, put family decals on the car, gone to Sunday School, played with friends, made homemade play dough and stayed with papi while mommy went to NYC for 2 1/2 days and we are heading to South Carolina and Arkansas!

We celebrated Emma's birthday on the road and once arriving to Memaw and Papaw's!

We saw amazing fish, eels, seahorses, and jelly fish at the Discovery Museum in Charlotte, NC

In case you need a laugh .....

Nelson had the tips of his fingers in the waistline of his big boy shorts while we were in line at Walmart. I calmly said "Nelson what are you doing" and he loudly stated "I'M touchin' my penis" !!!!!!!!!!! Most embarrassing moment as I looked up and made eye contact with the man behind us! he started laughing!

I'm pretty sure I turned every color of red pink and purple and couldn't stop laughing!

So much for being scientific with a two year old! Ha

Emma is potty training

Emma is determined to use the toilet! We will be traveling a lot with in the next few weeks so I have tried to stall her until we return. Today she has been very determined to not use her diaper in the house. She's so little but so intelligent! She was ready for bed (with a diaper) and just undressed herself - diaper and bottoms to use the potty!!

And potty she did .....

The Bad City

Tonight Nelson said something about when I "went to the bad city". He was referring to my trip to New York. I asked why it was a bad city and he was asking me all these questions and then asked if I could take him sometime ;)

I think in his mind he's thinking like another city in the bible like Jericho or something ... because they talk about going to the bad cities.

Of course he doesn't understand "cities, states, countries" but the other day he told me we lived in Costa Rica ;)

Going to New York was wonderful! You both enjoyed your time with Papi! Sis nelly helped too :)

Sis. Micky Mangun has a T-Rex?

We are listening to PoA worship and when Sis Mangun started singing Nelson's asked who it was. I said "sis mangan - she's a pastors wife" then he replied .... "Oh I remember her!" So I said, "oh where from?" (Because he did that last week when he heard Bro. Klinedinst voice preaching and said he remembered him at Bro Hattabaughs church - I was surprised, but we have been with the Klinedinst several times since he was born) ....

But this time I was really wondering what He would say since the it had been over a year since we went to BOTT.

He said, "I remember her from the dentist ..... She was petting a dinosaur!!!! A T-Rex!"

Later I found he put butter in water with bread in the sink .... When I started getting on to him he said it was "compost" .... Seriously!?

Prayers of Babes

There is a new mormon temple being built close to where we live.
Today after passing it we have been talking about how it's a wicked place with false prophets ;)

Nelson just said that he was going to pray that the Angels destroy that wicked place!

Then he actually started praying this long prayer "to destroy it and to take the prophet out" .... Wow!

My what!?

I told Nelson we've got to go home and then go to Miami! He said who's? And I said no Miami. Then he said like papi's "ami" ... Get it - my "ami" :)

The servants!

So we live in a community with an association. They cut the grass and the bushes - Nelson really likes the lawn men. Well, today they were taking out a couple huge palm trees next to the house (they are messing up the foundation) .... Nelson was excited watching the action from the window when he told his dad "go tell those servants...." LOL

Emma's Humor

Last night we had a wonderful midweek at IDP. There were 101 in attendance an two received the Holy Ghost!

Emma was awake when we made it home around 1230am. She began saying she was hungry and wanted "papas" I explained it was very late. She then said "chicken" and I explained that she had already eaten alot. She then said "how'bout" and paused. I was laughing at her "how'bout" when she said "how'bout poop dog!" Rene and I laughed and laughed!

Emma is amazingly funny!

I just put Farrah's cd on and the kids were really excited! Then Nelson said is that Uncle Riley!?

When the first song ended Emma said that's fun!!! And started clapping - She was saying "Farrah I wike your music" ;)

"It's not working" (she uses this for anything - even her ponytail that isn't sticking up high!)
